Understanding the snapshot CSV export

Twitter snapshot reports can be exported as a CSV spreadsheet. To export, simply click the "CSV" button in the top left corner of your snapshot report.   

 

The spreadsheet is broken into the below sections: 

Summary: These are the top level numbers of tweets collected in this snapshot. Listed is the estimated reach, total impressions, number of tweets collected and number of unique accounts which have contributed a tweet (contributors).  

Activity: This shows the volume of tweets collected over time. Depending on the span of time covered by your snapshot report, this can be hourly or daily. Note that these times are set in UTC per the Twitter API.

Tweet Types: Here we identify of the type of tweets collected. Tweets can either be original compositions by a user (regular), or replies or retweets.  

Exposure: Here we see the number of accounts collected in this report separated out by the number of followers of each account.  

Contributors: This is information about each user who has contributed a tweet captured by your snapshot report. The column fields are:

  • Id: The identification number assigned to a Twitter account
  • Screen_Name: The @username of the account
  • Tweets: The number of tweets from the account collected in this report
  • Mentions: The number of times this account is mentioned by other accounts
  • Retweets: The number of retweets of this account collected in this report
  • Impressions: The number of impressions generated by this account in this report
  • URL: A link directly to this account’s Twitter page

Tweets: Each tweet collected in your snapshot is listed here. The column fields are:

  • Id: This is the identification number of this specific tweet
  • Screen_Name: The @username of the account
  • Text: The text of the tweet
  • Time: When the tweet was sent (in UTC time)
  • Retweets: The number of retweets of this account collected in this report
  • Impressions: The number of impressions generated by this account in this report
  • URL: A link directly to the tweet
