Facebook analytics FAQs

What can I analyze with a Union Metrics Facebook Tracker?
You can analyze any Facebook page you have admin or editor credentials to.  

Can I analyze competitive pages?
Not at this time. You can only analyze pages you have admin or editor credentials to.

Can I analyze hashtags?
No, currently, we only offer tracking for owned Facebook pages.

Can I analyze my personal Facebook account?
The Facebook Trackers can only analyze brand or fan pages.

Where does Union Metrics get its Facebook data?
We use the Facebook Graph API to access the Insight data.

How far back does the data go?
All new Trackers will get a backfill of data from the past 28 days. After that, the Trackers will update on a continuous basis in real time, and older data will be archived to view and report on at a later date.

Can I analyze paid posts?
Yes, our Facebook reporting includes analytics on both organic and paid content.

Can I see how many people a post was shared to?
Yes, we include detailed reach and engagement metrics at the post and page level.

Do you have fan and audience demographics?
Trackers include demographic data from those who have engaged with your posts, fans of your page and people who have seen your content.

How do you define reach on Facebook?
Reach is the size of the unique audience. Page reach measures the number of people who saw a story about your page, and post reach measures the number of people who saw a particular posts.

Can I change my Tracker time zone?
Facebook data can only be displayed in Pacific time.
